Job Summary
- The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Oil & Gas portfolio, driving business development initiatives, expanding market share, managing key client relationships, and leading a high‑performing team to achieve the Bank’s financial and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth, deposit mobilization, and revenue generation within the Oil & Gas sector
- Develop and execute strategies aligned with the Bank’s objectives
- Build and manage relationships with Oil & Gas companies and key industry stakeholders
- Lead negotiations and structure financial and transactional solutions
- Supervise, coach, and develop Relationship Managers and Business Development teams
- Monitor performance, pipelines, and achievement of business targets
- Ensure strong credit quality, risk management, regulatory compliance, and KYC standards
- Represent the Bank at industry forums and stakeholder engagements
- Drive cross‑selling across Treasury, Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, and Digital Banking solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline (additional qualifications are an advantage)
- 7–10+ years’ cognate experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Commercial, or Corporate Banking
- CIBN certification (required or an added advantage)
- Proven track record in sales leadership, relationship management, and revenue delivery
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas sector dynamics, risk considerations, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, leadership, and negotiation skills.
