Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited was incorporated as a response to the emerging trends in the dynamic Oil & Gas industry. We are a wholly indigenous company and registered player in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sectors of the Oil & Gas industry.

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job summary

• Are you a strategic finance professional with a passion for driving business performance, ensuring financial integrity, and providing executive-level financial insights?
• We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, treasury management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and business performance analysis while supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, receivables, investments, and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to Management.
• Review commercial bids, contracts, and major financial transactions.
• Drive cost optimization and financial process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is an added advantage.
