We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Resident Housekeeper

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Resident Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, hygienic, and comfortable living environment within the residence.
  • The role involves daily housekeeping duties, laundry services, inventory management of household supplies, and ensuring that all residential facilities are properly maintained and presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping and Cleaning:

  • Clean and maintain all rooms, offices, living areas, kitchens, dining areas, bathrooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces as required.
  • Make beds, change linens, and ensure rooms are tidy and well-arranged.
  • Clean windows, doors, furniture, appliances, and fixtures regularly.
  • Ensure waste bins are emptied and disposed of appropriately.

Laundry and Linen Management:

  • Wash, dry, iron, and fold clothing, bed linens, towels, and other household fabrics.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of clean linens and towels.
  • Report damaged linens, uniforms, or clothing requiring replacement.

Inventory and Supplies Management:

  • Monitor housekeeping supplies and consumables.
  • Maintain records of cleaning materials and household items.
  • Request replenishment of supplies before stock levels become low.
  • Ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Kitchen and Dining Support:

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and dining facilities.
  • Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving when required.
  • Ensure food storage areas are clean and hygienic.

Facility Maintenance Support:

  • Conduct routine inspections of residential facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, furniture, or appliance defects.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely repairs.

Health, Safety, and Security:

  • Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of residents.
  • Report any security concerns, accidents, or incidents immediately.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Cleanliness and hygiene standards maintained.
  • Timely completion of housekeeping tasks.
  • Proper management of household supplies.
  • Resident satisfaction levels.
  • Compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Prompt reporting and follow-up of maintenance issues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a housekeeper, cleaner, or domestic staff is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry operations, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
