We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for supervising the loading, unloading, receiving, scanning, sorting and stocking of products into the company’s store.
  • This position also requires accurate stock taking, timely report writing and diligent supervision of other store staff that report to the role, if any.
  • This position performs other tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment and therefore the holder must be nimble, agile and flexible to meet the challenges of the hour.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Receive and forward/dispatch all goods and deliveries to their point of use or storage area.
  • Monitor and take inventory on regular basis to compile orders based on current levels or needs.
  • Maintain clear and organised records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
  • Responsible for storage of both food, beverage and operational stock.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day check on the storage facilities for upkeep and hygiene.
  • Verifies that all items received as it relates to agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.
  • Ensures the quantity of items requested matches quantity received/issued.
  • Ensures store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and immediately logged/registered.
  • Conducts physical stock audits on a weekly basis.
  • Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
  • Work closely with the purchaser/procurement officer on stock ordering.
  • Adhere to all safety and store procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.
  • Keep accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Maintain adequate stock level prior to re-order.
  • Identify and report any slow-moving items to avoid over purchasing.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager from time to time.

Objectives:

  • To ensure effective management of the company’s inventory item, safeguard them from theft and pilferages, ensure optimum levels of inventory items are maintained and to coordinate and supervise the activities of other store personnel.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with at least a relevant certification.
  • Great Business Communication (including written and verbal) skills.
  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Well-presented and professional
  • Prior experience in warehouse/store management would be advantageous.
  • Deep product knowledge
  • Strong physical fitness and the ability to be on feet and concentrate for long periods of time.
  • The ability to read and understand labels, SKUs, pick tickets, etc. to fulfill orders quickly and efficiently.
