Job Title: Community Sales Representative (CSR)

Role Overview

  • The Community Sales Representative (CSR) serves as the company's frontline sales and distribution representative within assigned territories.
  • The role is designed to drive grassroots market penetration, customer acquisition, and territory development through a structured and accountable sales framework.
  • The CSR acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring product availability and visibility in local markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Acquisition: Actively prospect and onboard new pharmacies, supermarkets, provision stores, wholesalers, and retail outlets within the assigned community.
  • Sales & Awareness: Generate product awareness, drive trial purchases, and consistently achieve monthly sales and activity targets set by the company.
  • Market Intelligence: Capture and report on competitor activities and shifting market trends.
  • Operations & Logistics: Work closely with the Call Centre and Distribution Teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment; support customer deliveries as required.
  • Reporting: Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports via digital tools.
  • Promotional Activities: Participate in community awareness programs and brand activations to enhance market visibility.

Performance Expectations

  • CSRs are expected to maintain active participation in company programs, fulfill all generated orders, and adhere to strict reporting timelines.
  • Success in this role is measured by volume growth, customer acquisition rates, and the ability to operate effectively within the company’s structured sales ecosystem.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of SSCE, OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, merchandising, FMCG, field marketing, retail operations, or customer service is a distinct advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good knowledge of the assigned territory or a high willingness to learn.
  • Tech-savvy: Must own a smartphone and be proficient in using WhatsApp reporting tools.

Compensation & Benefits
The role operates on a hybrid compensation model to provide stability alongside high-earning potential:

  • Guaranteed Monthly Earnings: A base salary of N50,000 plus a ₦30,000 transportation allowance (subject to active participation, territory coverage, and reporting).
  • Performance-Based Incentives: Eligibility for tiered monthly sales bonuses based on volume achievement in Band A or Band B market categories.
  • Recognition Awards: Monthly awards for top performers in categories including Highest Sales Volume, Highest New Customer Acquisition, Most Improved Representative, and Best CSR.
  • Onboarding Package: Upon recruitment, CSRs are provided with essential engagement materials, including a temporary ID, branded apparel (Polo shirt and cap), product flyers, delivery bags, and a comprehensive price list/strategy guide.
