We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Finance Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Bank’s financial strategy, budget, and financial policies.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee accounting, reconciliations, general ledger, payables, receivables, and financial controls.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Manage treasury, liquidity, cash flow, investments, and funding obligations.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory, tax, pension, audit, and statutory returns.
- Coordinate external audit and ensure timely completion of audited financial statements.
- Advise Management and the Board on profitability, capital, liquidity, and financial risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA is required.
- Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 years in senior finance management.
- Experience in banking, mortgage banking, financial services, or a regulated institution is required or strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax, treasury, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory returns.
