Job Title: Financial Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

About the Role

  • GFAMS is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced financial professional to join our organisation as Financial Manager.
  • The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the organisation's financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and control functions, ensuring the integrity of financial information and the strength of internal controls at all times.
  • This is a mid-level management role well-suited to a candidate with solid, hands-on experience in financial management within the microfinance sector.

Key Responsibilties

  • Lead and oversee all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring projections are accurate,
  • well-supported, and aligned with organisational strategy.
  • Prepare, review, and present timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports, statements, and management accounts to the executive team and board.
  • Continuously monitor cash flow positions, profitability trends, and overall financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures where перевагу.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable financial regulations. CRN guidelines, tax obligations, and internal control frameworks. maintaining the highest standards of financial governance
  • Provide robust financial analysis, scenario modeling, and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning at the management level
  • Manage and maintain productive relationships with external auditors, banking partners, regulatory bodies, and other key financial stakeholders, facilitating smooth audits and statutory filings

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline
  • A professional accounting qualification (eg ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required, candidates who are at an advanced stage of certification will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience in a financial management role within a Microfinance Bank or similar financial institution
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and financial reporting skills, with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Sound knowledge of financial management systems, accounting software, and regulatory compliance requirements within the Nigerian financial services landscape.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and confidently to both financial and non-financial audiences.
