Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations at our facility.
• The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, repair and upkeep of all property, including machines, mechanical systems, buildings, heating and air-conditioning and other structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan for missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
• Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management.
• Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required.
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance processes without disrupting operations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
• Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
• Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management. An MBA or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years relevant post-graduation experience.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership and analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and mechanical utilities.
• Strategic thinking and strong execution skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS is an advantage).
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
• Good understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
