Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical)

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Industry: Food Manufacturing (FMCG – Production Line Environment)

Role Summary

• We are hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced food production facility.
• The ideal candidate must be able to independently troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
• This is a hands-on technical role, not supervisory or office-based.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on production machines and factory utilities
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on equipment such as motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, sealing and packaging machines
• Reduce downtime through fast diagnosis and repair of faults
• Monitor and maintain generators, power supply systems, and factory utilities
• Support installation and setup of production equipment
• Keep accurate maintenance logs and fault reports
• Work closely with production staff to ensure smooth operations
• Escalate only complex issues that cannot be resolved on-site.

Requirements

• OND / HND / Technical Diploma / Trade Test / Engineering background
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on maintenance experience in a factory or industrial environment
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair machines under pressure
• Experience with generators, motors, conveyors, compressors, or packaging machines is highly valued
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment (noise, urgency, physical work)
• Basic documentation skills (maintenance logs, fault reporting).

Salary
N180,000 – N250,000 monthly (based on skill level).
