Locations: Suleja - Abuja (FCT) and Ozubulu, Awka - Anambra

Job Summary

  • The Cooks are responsible for preparing and presenting meals in accordance with approved recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
  • The role supports efficient kitchen operations by ensuring timely meal preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals and food items according to approved recipes and specifications.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Observe strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of food products and ingredients.
  • Monitor food freshness and report shortages or quality concerns promptly.
  • Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and handling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Assist with inventory monitoring and stock requests.
  • Support kitchen operations during peak service periods.
  • Comply with all company policies, health regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Chefs and other kitchen personnel to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of SSCE qualification with 1–2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or related food service environment.
  • Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
  • Experience preparing a variety of local and continental dishes is desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
