Job Title: Head of Accounts

Locations: Suleja, Abuja (FCT), Awka, Ozubulu - Anambra & Jos - Plateau

Job Summary

• The Head of Accounts is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities within the assigned location.
• The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, statutory compliance, and strong internal controls across all business units including the bakery, restaurant, mart, and filling station.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all accounting operations within the branch.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop and monitor departmental and branch budgets.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and statutory deductions.
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls.
• Monitor revenue collections and investigate discrepancies.
• Support management with financial analysis and business insights.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
