Job Title: Machinist

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail - oriented Machinist to join our automobile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools used in the production of automotive components.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, precision machining skills, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinders, and boring machines.
• Manufacture, modify, and repair automotive parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions accurately.
• Measure and inspect machined parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Set up machines and adjust machine settings to achieve required tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all manufactured parts meet company quality requirements and technical specifications.
• Maintain production records and machine operation documentation.
• Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of OND, NABTEB, Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Machining, Metalwork, or a related field.
• 2 – 5 years' relevant experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of machining processes, machine operations, and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with CNC machines will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem - solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
