The Candel FZE is a manufacturing company engaged in the development, production, marketing and distribution of agrochemicals, specialised fertilisers, seeds and allied products in Nigeria. It is located in the Lekki Free Zone, Ibeju-Lekki, near the Dangote Refinery.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Trainee Civil Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for a responsible Trainee Civil Engineer who will work under the the General manager facilities and Maintenance

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise all civil works and construction activities within the factory premises.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of factory buildings, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed according to specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to the Factory Manager.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and documentation for civil engineering works.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and project reports.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution - with a minimum of second class honours upper division
• 0 – 2 years of relevant experience (NYSC completed or in progress is an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, building maintenance, and project supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Our Ideal candidate is aged not more than 30 years old.
