Job Title: Architect

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are  seeking a highly creative, technically proficient, and experienced Architect with a minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in the real estate development and construction industry.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio of built projects, demonstrate exceptional design and project management skills, and have experience leading a team of architects.
• This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the aesthetic and functional quality of the developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of innovative architectural designs for residential and commercial real estate projects that align with the company's vision and market demands.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all architectural phases of projects from feasibility studies and schematic design through design development, construction documentation, and project completion.
• Team Supervision: Manage, mentor, and coordinate a team of architects and architectural technicians, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all architectural designs and documentation comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and planning authority requirements in Abuja.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Projects Coordinator, Managing Director, and multidisciplinary teams (structural engineers, MEP engineers, quantity surveyors) to integrate design intent with technical and budgetary constraints.
• Presentations & Visualizations: Prepare and deliver compelling design presentations, 3D visualizations, and concept proposals to clients, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout construction.
• Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and resolve any architectural issues on-site.
• Material Specification: Research and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and systems that balance aesthetic appeal, durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Tender Support: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, evaluate contractor submissions, and provide technical input during contract negotiations.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification, verifiable experience in architectural design and project delivery within the real estate development and construction industry.
• Professional Registration: Relevant professional certification and registration with the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is mandatory.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of architects and architectural technicians.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in residential and commercial projects, particularly mixed-use and high-rise developments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools.
• Location: Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Abuja, with the flexibility to travel between project sites as required.
