Kitchen Assistant at Sixwings Restaurant

Sixwings Restaurant is a highly popular, fast-growing restaurant and café in Abuja, Nigeria, known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse fast-food menu. It specializes in crowd-pleasing favorites like loaded burgers, shawarma, pastas, stir-fried rice, and milkshakes, making it a go-to spot for casual dining and group meetups.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Assist to prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
• Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner to meet service demand.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Monitor food portions and minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, cooking stations, and equipment.
• Ensure kitchen tools, utensils, and appliances are properly used and maintained.
• Work efficiently during peak service hours to ensure timely food delivery.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure proper storage of food and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, refrigerators, and storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor kitchen inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
• Assist with receiving and checking kitchen deliveries.
• Ensure ingredients are stored properly to maintain freshness.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification (SSCE) or diploma.
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
• Proven experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations,
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Salary
N80,000 - N150,000 per month.
