Job Purpose

  • The Business Development Executive plays a key role in supporting the company’s growth initiatives by conducting detailed market research, analyzing industry trends, and evaluating business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
  • This role involves identifying potential clients, assessing competitive landscapes, and preparing in-depth financial and strategic business cases to support decision-making.

Job Description

  • Conducts detailed market research, analyzes market dynamics, competitor strategies, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities, industry trends, and potential business ventures within the oil and gas sector.
  • Develops comprehensive business cases for new projects, including financial projections, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
  • Evaluate commercial models, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts to support decision-making, assisting in the formulation of strategic business plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Collaborates with sales, finance, operations, and technical teams to develop and implement business growth strategies, supporting contract negotiations,– follow up on submitted bids and proposals, and proposal development for new projects.
  • Tracks and analyzes competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory changes affecting the oil and gas industry, identifying gaps and emerging opportunities, recommending strategies to gain a competitive edge.
  • Prepares and presents business development reports for senior management, summarizing key insights, project status, and potential risks.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, industry partners, regulatory bodies, and investors to facilitate business growth, assisting in managing client inquiries, negotiations, and business proposals to drive successful deal closures.
  • Maintains an updated database of market intelligence, client interactions, and project evaluations, supporting leadership in decision-making by providing data-driven Insights and forecasts.
  • Participates in internal and external meetings to present market insights, project updates, and strategic recommendations.

Job Specification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in business development within the oil and gas or industrial sector.
