Job Title: Pharmacist

Description
- We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Warri. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing professional pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to promoting the safe and effective use of medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and professionally.
- Review prescriptions to ensure legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of therapy.
- Provide medication counselling and health education to patients.
- Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse effects.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Manage inventory levels, stock control, and procurement activities.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Comply with all regulatory, professional, and company policies and procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy support staff and ensure operational efficiency.
- Participate in health promotion initiatives and community outreach programs where required.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all professional interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
- Current practising licence with the relevant regulatory authority.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a community, hospital, or retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and patient counselling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must reside in Warri or its immediate environs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications or professional training in clinical pharmacy or pharmaceutical care.
- Experience with inventory management and pharmacy operations.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
