Job Title: Facility / Administrative Officer

Location: Ngaski LGA, Kebbi
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • We are seeking a proactive, organized, and resourceful Facility & Administrative Officer to support the smooth day-to-day operations of our mineral processing facility.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative activities, coordinating facility maintenance, overseeing cleaning and support staff, and handling operational market runs and procurement-related assignments.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to management and various departments.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, reports, and office documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, travel arrangements, and other administrative activities as required.
  • Manage office supplies and ensure timely replenishment of consumables.
  • Prepare periodic administrative and facility management reports.

Facility Management:

  • Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of office buildings, staff accommodations, and company facilities.
  • Ensure all facility assets are properly maintained and operational.
  • Liaise with service providers, contractors, and vendors on maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment.

Supervision of Cleaning & Support Staff:

  • Supervise cleaners, janitorial personnel, and other support staff.
  • Develop and monitor cleaning schedules to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained across offices, guest houses, and operational facilities.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are available and properly utilized.
  • Monitor staff performance and report issues requiring management attention.

Market Runs & Procurement Support:

  • Conduct market surveys and source materials, supplies, and services as directed.
  • Assist with the procurement of office supplies, facility consumables, and operational necessities.
  • Obtain quotations from vendors and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of procured items and maintain proper procurement records.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers.

Compliance & General Operations:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and administrative standards.
  • Support company events, staff welfare activities, and visitor management.
  • Assist with logistics coordination and other operational support functions as assigned by management.
