Job Description

  • We’re seeking a Technical Sales Officer to join a dynamic sales team focused on driving growth through the sale and delivery of solar energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers in a warm, speedy, and professional manner.
  • Understand clients’ energy needs and design customized solar systems that meet those requirements.
  • Coordinate and organize installations with solar partners and installers, ensuring timely and smooth delivery.
  • Negotiate with solar partners and installers to secure the best value for our customers.
  • Use our software platform to fast-track deals and manage customer pipelines.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and relationship-building.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to explain the features and benefits of our solar solutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors’ activities, and emerging technologies in the solar space.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to develop relationships and negotiate effectively with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects and leads simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems.
  • Strong networking skills and a proactive approach to generating new business.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems and products or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical clients.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work towards and achieve sales targets.
