Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support client decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Assist with tax computations, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Participate in financial due diligence, audit support, and advisory engagements.
• Review accounting records and identify areas for process improvement.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation and improvement of financial controls and governance processes.
• Travel to client sites within Nigeria and internationally as required.

Requirements Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1).
• 2–6 years of relevant accounting, audit, finance, or consulting experience.
• ICAN qualified or actively pursuing ICAN certification.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within and outside Nigeria. Desirable
• Experience in a professional services, consulting, audit, or advisory environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
• Experience using accounting software and ERP systems.
• ACA qualification or advanced stage of ICAN certification
