Job Title: Logistics Manager

Job Summary

• The Logistics Lead is responsible for building, managing, and scaling a high-performance supply and distribution operation.
• This role owns the end-to-end logistics and commercial cycle, including supplier management, working capital efficiency, dispatch operations, delivery performance, collections discipline, and team leadership.
• The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, improve profitability through stronger supplier relationships and optimized distribution processes, and establish scalable systems that support sustainable business growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen supplier, distributor, and strategic partner relationships to improve pricing, allocation, and supply reliability.
• Identify opportunities to expand and strengthen distribution capabilities and market reach.
• Negotiate commercial terms that improve margins and operational performance.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and distribution opportunities to support business growth.
• Own and manage the working capital cycle to ensure efficient inventory movement and cash flow.
• Maintain strict payment and collections discipline to protect cash velocity and business profitability.
• Monitor margins, costs, and operational performance to achieve volume and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish and execute growth strategies that improve financial outcomes.
• Oversee daily logistics operations, including order processing, dispatch, transportation, and delivery activities.
• Manage fleet performance and third-party haulage providers to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
• Establish and maintain operational standards, processes, and controls that improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Monitor delivery performance and implement corrective actions to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, lead, coach, and develop logistics and operational support teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, commercial operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing transportation, dispatch, delivery, fleet operations, or distribution networks.
• Proven track record of achieving operational, financial, or commercial performance targets.
• Experience managing budgets, margins, working capital, or profit-and-loss responsibilities is highly desirable.
• Experience within building materials, manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale distribution, or related industries is an advantage.

Salary
N500,000 Gross Monthly
