Job Summary
- The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO), ensuring the effective execution of business priorities across the Group.
- The role coordinates cross-functional initiatives, drives operational excellence, facilitates executive decision-making, monitors strategic projects, and ensures alignment between business units and corporate objectives.
- The Chief of Staff acts as an extension of the GCOO, managing executive priorities, enhancing communication, tracking performance, and ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Support the GCOO in developing and implementing group-wide operational strategies.
- Drive execution of strategic initiatives and transformation projects.
- Monitor progress against organizational goals and operational objectives.
- Ensure alignment of business unit activities with group strategy.
Executive Support & Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the GCOO on strategic, operational, and organizational matters.
- Conduct research, analysis, and prepare recommendations for executive decisions.
- Prepare executive briefings, reports, board materials, and presentations.
- Facilitate informed decision-making through data-driven insights.
Project & Program Management:
- Lead and coordinate high-priority cross-functional projects.
- Track deliverables, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Establish governance structures for strategic initiatives.
- Ensure timely execution of projects across departments and subsidiaries.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between the GCOO and internal/external stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication with business unit leaders and executive teams.
- Facilitate collaboration across functions to resolve operational challenges.
- Manage relationships with key partners, consultants, and vendors.
Performance Management & Reporting:
- Develop and monitor organizational performance dashboards.
- Track key operational metrics and strategic KPIs.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic performance reports for executive leadership.
Governance & Operational Excellence:
- Support the implementation of governance frameworks and best practices.
- Ensure accountability and follow-through on executive decisions.
- Coordinate leadership meetings and operational review sessions.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and strategic priorities.
Change Management & Transformation:
- Drive organizational change initiatives and business process improvements.
- Support digital transformation and operational efficiency programs.
- Facilitate communication and stakeholder engagement during transformation projects.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Executive Office Management:
- Manage the Office of the GCOO and oversee executive priorities.
- Coordinate executive calendars, strategic meetings, and action tracking.
- Ensure efficient flow of information between the GCOO and stakeholders.
- Follow up on action items and strategic commitments.

- Strategic initiative completion rate.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
- MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of professional experience.
- At least 5–8 years in strategy, operations, management consulting, project management, business transformation, or executive office roles.
- Experience supporting C-suite executives in large organizations or diversified groups.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management experience.
- Certification such as PMP, Prince2, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent is an added advantage.
