Job Title: Sous Chef (Male)

Location: Ajah, Badore, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our restaurant team in Ajah.
• The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and leading the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, stock rotation, and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to improve performance.
• Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and operational at all times.
• Step in to manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment.
• Strong knowledge of local and continental cuisine.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Culinary certification is an added advantage.
• Must be willing to resume immediately.
• Gender: Male only.

Salary

• N200,000 per month.
