We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator - Form-Fill-Seal (FFS)

Location: Agege, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• To operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain Form-Fill-Seal packaging machines to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality packaging of products in accordance with company standards, production schedules, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate Form-Fill-Seal packaging machines according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure correct packaging materials, product specifications, and coding information are used.
• Conduct machine start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities.

Production Monitoring:

• Monitor product weight, fill volume, seal integrity, and package appearance.
• Maintain production targets and minimize downtime.
• Record production data, machine performance, and output volumes.
• Report machine faults, quality issues, and production delays promptly.

Quality Control:

• Perform routine quality checks on packaged products.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and packaging standards.
• Identify and isolate defective products.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance of equipment.
• Assist maintenance technicians during repairs and servicing.
• Identify early signs of equipment malfunction and report them immediately.
• Maintain housekeeping around the machine and production area.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Requirement:

• National Diploma (ND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Food Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualification:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Technical Certification in Manufacturing, Packaging Technology, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

• 2–3 years of experience operating Form-Fill-Seal packaging machines in a manufacturing or food processing environment

Technical Skills:

• Ability to operate Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS/HFFS) packaging machines.
• Knowledge of packaging materials and machine settings.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of production documentation and reporting.

Functional Skills:

• Attention to detail.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Time management.
• Quality-conscious mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

Computer Skills:

• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to operate machine control panels (PLC/HMI systems).
• Knowledge of production reporting systems is an advantage.
