Job Title: High Voltage & Low Voltage Electrician

Description
- We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious High Voltage & Low Voltage Electrician to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across multiple project sites within the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain, inspect, and rectify earthing pits and grounding systems.
- Install electrical cabling and perform power cable terminations.
- Install and maintain voltage regulators, surge protectors (spike busters), and related electrical equipment.
- Install UPS systems and connect battery banks.
- Diagnose and identify fused, faulty, weak, or malfunctioning batteries and recommend suitable replacements.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations.
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
- Travel between project sites as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, HND, Trade Test, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant hands-on experience in industrial, oil and gas, telecommunications, or power installation environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Technical Knowledge & Competencies
Candidates should possess practical knowledge of:
- Earthing systems for buildings, towers, network racks, and ICT equipment.
- High-voltage and low-voltage electrical installations.
- Various transformer types and applications.
- Battery technologies, including advantages, disadvantages, recommended battery types, and ampere ratings.
- UPS systems and power backup solutions.
- Hysteresis curves and associated operational precautions.
- Electrical safety procedures and best practices.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for electricians.
- Common electrical tools, testing instruments, and their applications.
