Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory / Store Officer to manage inventory records and store operations within our automobile manufacturing facility.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of materials, spare parts, tools, and production supplies while ensuring effective stock control and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the inventory management system.
  • Issue materials and supplies to authorized personnel and departments.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent shortages.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory audits.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of inventory items.
  • Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare inventory reports and submit periodic stock status updates to management.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all store transactions, including goods received notes and issue vouchers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Finance departments regarding inventory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Purchasing & Supply, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 years' relevant experience in inventory management, storekeeping, warehouse operations, or logistics within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and stock management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
