Jentan Fish Hatchery & Farms Limited is a modern, technology-driven aquaculture company located in Ozubulu, Anambra State. The company is developing an integrated fish hatchery, grow-out farm, and fish-processing operation using Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology to produce healthy fingerlings, strong juveniles, fresh table-size fish, premium smoked fish, and related aquaculture services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Officer

Location: Ozubulu, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

• The Sales andMarketing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s sales, marketing, brand-awareness, customer-acquisition, and business-development strategies.
• The successful candidate will lead efforts to position Jentan as a trusted aquaculture brand, expand market reach, generate qualified sales leads, and support product launches across Anambra State and other strategic markets in Nigeria.
• The Marketing Officer will report to the Managing Director through the Fish Farm Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for fingerlings, juveniles, fresh fish, smoked fish, training, consultancy, and other company services.
• Lead pre-launch and post-launch market-awareness campaigns and brand-visibility initiatives.
• Identify and develop markets among fish farmers, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, traders, distributors, and households.
• Manage the company’s digital presence across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp Business, and the company website.
• Generate leads, maintain customer and distributor databases, and convert enquiries into confirmed orders and repeat business.
• Conduct market research on customer demand, competitor activities, product preferences, pricing, and distribution channels.
• Coordinate the production of flyers, brochures, advertisements, product catalogues, promotional videos, and other marketing materials.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on leads, campaign performance, customer engagement, and sales opportunities.
• Ensure that all marketing claims and promotional content are accurate, professional, and consistent with applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Agricultural Economics, Fisheries, Aquaculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, business development, digital marketing, agriculture, aquaculture, food production, or a related sector.
• Practical knowledge of customer acquisition, sales conversion, distributor development, and relationship management.
• Experience in fish farming, aquaculture, and agricultural marketing will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong marketing and sales ability with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Good digital marketing, social media management, and content planning skills.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-management, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to interpret market data, prepare clear reports, and meet performance targets.
• High level of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Experience as a fish marketer in the southeast will be an advantage.
