Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lekki 1, Lagos

Reports To: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a growing real estate company.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and controls to support business objectives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance indicators.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Monitor project finances, construction budgets, and real estate investment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including tax filings, VAT, PAYE, WHT, pension, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management on cost reduction and revenue optimization.
  • Prepare feasibility studies and financial models for real estate development projects.
  • Monitor and manage company assets, investments, and financial risks.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and documentation.
  • Support management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior experience in the Real Estate, Construction, Property Development, or Infrastructure sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.
