Job Title: Account Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting the organization's accounting and financial operations.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budgeting activities.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax-related documentation.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial transactions.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, ATS, etc.) will be an added advantage.
