We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment, cables, cable trays, conduits, lighting systems, and grounding systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Perform cable pulling, glanding, termination, and connection of power, control, and instrumentation cables.
  • Install and connect transformers, switchgears, MCCs (Motor Control Centers), distribution panels, UPS systems, and generators.
  • Ensure proper earthing and lightning protection systems are installed and tested.
  • Support erection and installation of electrical systems associated with LNG process facilities and utilities.
  • Verify electrical installations comply with approved drawings, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct installation inspections and quality checks.
  • Perform continuity testing and insulation resistance testing (Megger tests).
  • Conduct cable testing and verification.
  • Verify equipment alignment, wiring integrity, and termination schedules.
  • Assist in functional testing of switchgears, MCCs, transformers, and protection systems.
  • Support loop checking and instrument interface verification.
  • Participate in energization of electrical systems.
  • Conduct functional and performance testing of electrical equipment.
  • Assist in commissioning of:
    • Switchgears / MCCs / Transformers / UPS systems / Emergency generators
    • Lighting systems / Earthing systems
  • Monitor electrical equipment performance during start-up and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and commissioning issues.
