Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across project, retail, dealer, contractor, painter, and end-user channels.
- Conduct regular market visits to engage customers, monitor competitor activities, and gather market intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, retailers, painters, and other key stakeholders to drive product adoption and sales.
- Generate leads, prepare quotations, follow up on sales opportunities, and support the conversion of prospects into customers.
- Promote the company's products through presentations, demonstrations, activations, and other sales and marketing initiatives.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, maintain an active sales pipeline, and submit timely activity and performance reports.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Value of new project opportunities secured.
- Revenue generated from project and retail channels.
- Number of new dealers, distributors, and retail accounts acquired.
- Number of qualified project leads generated monthly.
- Growth in end-user and B2C sales volume.
- Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
- Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Building Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of sales, marketing, customer service, or business development experience.
- Experience in the paint, construction materials, building products, FMCG, or related industry is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to work in the field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of the construction, paint, or building materials industry is an added advantage.

Renumerations
- Base Salary N90,000 + Commission on Sales= Full Compensation package
