We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Station Manager

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Station Manager is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the retail filling station.
  • The role ensures efficient day-to-day operations, excellent customer service, strict compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards, inventory control, financial accountability, and effective management of station personnel.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the filling station.
  • Ensure uninterrupted availability of petroleum products and lubricants.
  • Monitor fuel dispensing activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure all station equipment, pumps, generators, and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Coordinate maintenance and promptly report equipment faults.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Drive sales of fuel, lubricants, LPG, and convenience store products.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to increase customer traffic and revenue.
  • Monitor daily sales performance against targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce operational costs.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels of petroleum products, lubricants, and other inventory.
  • Conduct daily tank dip measurements and reconcile stock.
  • Ensure accurate stock receipt, storage, and issuance.
  • Investigate and report stock variances or product losses.

Financial Management:

  • Manage daily cash collections and banking.
  • Prepare daily sales and financial reports.
  • Reconcile cash, POS transactions, transfers, and credit sales.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accountability of all financial transactions.
  • Minimize revenue leakage and financial risks.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure customers receive quality products and efficient service.
  • Promote customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE):

  • Enforce compliance with all HSSE policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and emergency drills.
  • Ensure fire-fighting equipment is available and functional.
  • Prevent environmental pollution and unsafe practices.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Staff Management:

  • Supervise cashiers, pump attendants, security personnel, and other station staff.
  • Prepare staff schedules and duty rosters.
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Enforce discipline and company policies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Prepare reports on sales, inventory, maintenance, and staffing.

Facility Management:

  • Ensure station premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor utility usage and operational costs.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of station facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Science,Geology,Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Retail Management, Health & Safety, or Operations Management are an added advantage.
  • Must Reside within Ibadan and its environs. 

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
