Job brief

  • We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director, Investment & External Relations. This is a high-trust, senior executive support role spanning board governance, investor relations, capital markets coordination, and pan-African stakeholder engagement.
  • You'll be the ED's principal enabler — protecting their time, managing sensitive information, and representing the Office of the Executive Director with the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate board and committee activities, including the preparation of board packs, minutes, resolutions, action trackers, and governance documentation, while ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate governance requirements across the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Manage the Executive Director's calendar, strategic priorities, meetings, and domestic and international travel arrangements, including logistics, visas, briefing materials, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Draft, review, and manage correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing notes, and communication materials for investors, financial institutions, government agencies, development finance institutions, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain secure and structured systems for managing confidential documents, contracts, financing agreements, regulatory correspondence, corporate records, and document execution processes, ensuring compliance, version control, and timely renewals.
  • Prepare executive management reports by consolidating operational, financial, and strategic information; analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators to provide concise insights, dashboards, risk assessments, and decision-support materials for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisers to support board reporting, investor updates, regulatory obligations, capital market transactions, and strategic initiatives, including the preparation of French-language executive summaries and reports where required.
  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support, including stakeholder liaison, expense and procurement coordination, visitor management, cross-functional collaboration, and follow-through on executive decisions, strategic priorities, and organizational commitments.

Requirements
Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Secretarial Studies, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years' experience as an Executive/Personal Assistant supporting C-suite or Board-level principals
  • Demonstrated experience managing confidential board, legal, or financial documents
  • Exceptional written and spoken English; professional French language proficiency required
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Absolute discretion — references will be verified, vetting/bonding required

Desirable:

  • Experience in regulated industries (financial services, manufacturing, mining/extractives)
  • Familiarity with capital markets processes (commercial paper, term sheets, regulatory submissions)
  • Knowledge of CAMA 2020 corporate governance requirements
  • Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) or similar qualification
  • Experience within a group holding company/conglomerate structure
