Job Title: Bakery Manager

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Coordinate daily baking timelines to ensure fresh inventory is always available.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor both kitchen and front-of-house employees.
• Shift Scheduling: Create and manage employee rotas to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect final baked goods for consistency, presentation, taste, and high quality.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, order raw ingredients, and track supply usage daily.
• Supplier Relations: Negotiate pricing and build strong relationships with ingredient and equipment vendors.
• Waste Management: Implement strict portion controls and production tracking to minimize food waste.
• Financial Reporting: Track daily sales, manage labor budgets, and analyze profit margins.
• Health and Safety: Enforce local food safety laws, HACCP guidelines, and strict sanitation standards.
• Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
• Menu Development: Collaborate with bakers to introduce new seasonal recipes and popular products.
• Equipment Maintenance: Schedule regular servicing and emergency repairs for ovens, mixers, and proofers.
• Compliance: Maintain accurate records for health inspections, payroll, and business licensing.
