Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Distribution Officer to coordinate and optimize the distribution of products to customers, branches, distributors, and retail outlets.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for route planning, delivery scheduling, fleet coordination, inventory movement, and ensuring efficient cold-chain distribution operations. Experience in FMCG, particularly cold or frozen food products, is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily product distribution activities to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage order fulfillment and coordinate dispatch operations with warehouses and sales teams.
• Schedule delivery routes and optimize transportation resources for cost efficiency.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, delivery performance, and route compliance.
• Ensure cold-chain integrity is maintained during the transportation of frozen and chilled products.
• Coordinate loading and dispatch activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
• Track deliveries and resolve logistics or customer service issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of product movements, delivery schedules, and transportation costs.
• Monitor inventory transfers between warehouses, cold rooms, and distribution centers.
• Liaise with fleet, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly distribution performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, transportation regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor delivery KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations within an FMCG environment.
• Experience in cold-chain logistics, frozen foods, poultry products, dairy products, or other temperature-sensitive products will be a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of transportation planning, fleet management, and distribution operations.
• Experience using ERP systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
