Job Brief
- We are seeking a Project Officer – Mini-Grid to support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of mini-grid projects. The ideal candidate will assist with project documentation, budget tracking, compliance activities, stakeholder coordination, and site performance monitoring to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support & Monitoring:
- Support the development of project plans, timelines, and activity schedules.
- Monitor project activities and provide regular updates on progress.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
- Track project deliverables and highlight issues requiring attention.
Project Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Support preparation of stakeholder reports and project updates.
- Ensure project documents are properly organized and updated.
Budget Tracking & Cost Monitoring:
- Assist with tracking project expenses against approved budgets.
- Support basic budget analysis and identify cost variations.
- Maintain records of project-related financial documents.
Compliance & Regulatory Support:
- Assist with preparation and submission of project compliance documents.
- Ensure required approvals, permits, and reports are properly tracked.
- Support grant and tender documentation processes.
Grant & Tender Support:
- Research available grant and tender opportunities.
- Support preparation of grant and tender applications.
- Ensure required documents are complete and submitted within deadlines.
Site Performance Monitoring:
- Support monitoring of mini-grid site performance.
- Collect and analyze site data for reporting.
- Identify performance gaps and escalate issues.
- Support implementation of improvement actions.
Productive Use Equipment (PUE) Monitoring:
- Track performance and usage of deployed PUE equipment.
- Support data collection on energy usage and business impact.
- Prepare updates on PUE performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely project reporting and documentation.
- Accurate tracking of project activities and deliverables.
- Effective project budget monitoring and reporting.
- Compliance documentation accuracy and timely submission.
- Support successful coordination with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
- Accurate site performance monitoring and reporting.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in project management, operations, energy, or related fields.
- Internship or project coordination experience is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic project management skills.
