Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a faith based hospital located in Kubwa, Abuja that provides high quality healthcare services to patients. The aim of establishing this facility is to bridge the gap between the formal public health services and the health needs of the people especially those in rural areas. We offer general health and medical services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Optometrist

Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams using optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease
• Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
• Answer questions and provide advice to patients regarding vision and optical issues.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions
• Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice.

Qualifications

• Academic: Candidates should possess an O.D(Doctor of Optometry) Degrees with 2+ years relevant work experience
• Professional License: Must have a valid and updated practicing license fromOptometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN)
• Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years working experience.
• Computer skills: Candidate must have good working knowledge of computer
• Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills.
