Job Title: Relationship Manager for Digital Products

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Relationship Manager for Digital Products is responsible for driving the growth, profitability, and market penetration of the Company’s digital lending, savings, and investment products.
  • This includes digital lending solutions such as personal loans, salary-backed loans, payday loans, public sector loans, and SME working capital facilities.
  • The role is responsible for originating and managing high-value lending and deposit relationships across retail, SME, public sector, cooperative, and institutional segments through the Company’s digital channels and partnerships.
  • The role also serves as a key interface between the Company and external stakeholders including corporates, cooperatives, public sector institutions, strategic partners, and ecosystem players to drive business opportunities and deepen market presence.
  • The role is central to scaling the Company’s digital lending and deposit business by improving acquisition efficiency, strengthening conversion across digital funnels, and ensuring effective onboarding and engagement of customers.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Products (Lending):

  • Drive the growth and adoption of the Company’s digital lending products including personal loans, salary-backed loans, payday loans, public sector loans, SME credit facilities, group loans and other digitally enabled credit products.
  • Source and onboard quality loan customers through digital acquisition channels including online campaigns, digital partnerships, social media, email, SMS and referral channels.
  • Build and manage a strong digital loan sales pipeline, ensuring effective lead generation, follow-up, conversion and portfolio growth.
  • Execute customer acquisition and conversion strategies targeted at retail, salary earners, SMEs, cooperatives and public sector customers.
  • Conduct preliminary customer assessments and due diligence for digital lending applications prior to credit review and approval.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk, Operations and Compliance teams to ensure timely processing, disbursement and administration of approved facilities.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling loan products to existing customers across the Company’s digital ecosystem.
  • Ensure all lending activities are aligned with the Company’s credit policies, risk framework and regulatory requirements.

Digital Products (Deposits & Investment):

  • Drive customer acquisition and growth across the Company’s digital savings, investment and deposit products.
  • Promote and market digital investment and deposit solutions through the Company’s electronic and digital channels.
  • Develop strategies to increase low-cost deposit mobilization and customer wallet share through digital platforms.
  • Onboard and manage retail, SME and institutional customers for digital savings and investment products.
  • Drive adoption and usage of fixed deposit, target savings, rent saver and other digital wealth or savings products offered by the Company.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships through bundled savings, investment and credit offerings.
  • Monitor deposit growth, customer activity levels, retention rates and product usage trends across digital channels.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure customer and transaction records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure full KYC/AML checks and policy adherence.
  • Prepare periodic portfolio performance reports and analysis for management review.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, macroeconomic shifts, and industry best practices in credit analysis.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Build, manage, and deepen strategic relationships with corporates, cooperatives, public sector institutions, aggregators, fintech partners, and other ecosystem stakeholders to drive digital lending and deposit opportunities.
  • Lead business development meetings, stakeholder engagements, product presentations, and partnership discussions with clients and external parties.
  • Represent the Company at strategic meetings, industry engagements, business forums, and customer engagement sessions relating to digital products and lending initiatives.
  • Develop and manage partnerships that support customer acquisition, product adoption, and portfolio growth across digital channels.
  • Engage internal stakeholders including Credit Risk, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing teams to drive timely execution of transactions and customer onboarding.
  • Prepare and present portfolio performance updates, pipeline reports, market insights, and strategic recommendations to management.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends to support product innovation and business expansion initiatives.
  • Drive customer retention and relationship deepening initiatives across lending, deposits, and digital financial products.
  • Resolve escalated customer and stakeholder issues to ensure service quality and relationship continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in digital banking, credit sales or business development within a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of electronic banking products, digital lending platforms, and credit processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, customer relationship management, and sales techniques.
  • Solid understanding of lending dynamics, particularly within the Nigerian market.
