Job Title: Bike Technician

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bike Technician to join our technical team in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, servicing, and maintenance of bikes, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. Experience working with electric bikes (e-bikes) will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on bicycles.
  • Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
  • Assemble new bikesand prepare them for customer delivery.
  • Inspect bikes to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Replace and adjust components such as brakes, gears, chains, wheels, tires, and suspension systems.
  • Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and provide appropriate repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and basic maintenance advice to customers where required.
  • Support warranty inspections and repairs in line with company policies.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience as a Bicycle Technician, Bike Mechanic, or in a similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of bicycle mechanics, including braking, drivetrain, steering, and wheel systems.
  • Experience with electric bikes (e-bikes), including basic diagnostics and maintenance, is an added advantage.
  • Ability to use bicycle repair tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
