Job Description

• We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher to deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.
• The ideal candidate will patiently nurture these tender minds strive for and achieve academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective simple lessons in line with the approved curriculum
• Patiently groom and teach the pupils to improve on their areas of weakness
• Encourage critical analysis, creativity, and effective communication in the pupils
• Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress through tests, assignments, and examinations
• Strengthen pupils' reading and writing abilities to meet up to the primary level expectations
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials
• Maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behavior and promote respectful communication
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities
• Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress and behavior
• Support extracurricular activities such as debates, drama, writing clubs, and literary events

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed)
• Teaching qualification (TRCN is an advantage)
• Proven experience of teaching at the relevant grade level
• Strong command of spoken and written English
• Familiarity with prescribed texts and examination requirements (Using the Cambridge text, etc., where applicable)

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Creativity in lesson delivery and assessment
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Basic computer skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
