We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Architect / Project Manager

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Overview of Job

  • The Architect / Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, design, coordination, and execution of projects from conception through completion.
  • The role combines architectural expertise with project management capabilities to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and client requirements.
  • The role holder will oversee design development, manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate contractors and consultants, and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • The Architect / Project Manager will serve as the focal point for project delivery, providing technical leadership and effective stakeholder management across all phases of execution.
  • This role is suited to a seasoned professional with strong architectural knowledge, project management experience, and the ability to successfully manage complex engineering, infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Delivery:

  • Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource requirements, and delivery strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure seamless execution across disciplines.
  • Ensure adherence to project objectives and contractual obligations.

Architectural Design and Technical Coordination:

  • Lead architectural design development and review construction documentation.
  • Ensure designs align with client requirements, operational functionality, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Review technical submissions, drawings, specifications, and design changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout project execution.

Stakeholder and Client Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support business development activities, proposals, and technical presentations when required.

Construction and Site Management:

  • Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.
  • Review contractor performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage change orders, variations, and project risks.
  • Ensure timely completion and successful handover of projects.

Cost, Schedule and Risk Management:

  • Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules.
  • Track project costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and value engineering.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of project resources.
  • Monitor key project milestones and performance indicators.

Quality, HSE and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Promote adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Participate in quality inspections and project audits.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and controlled.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in project execution.
