We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Assistant

Location: Tincan, Lagos

Purpose

  • To coordinate payment processing activities by ensuring all vendor and contractor invoices are properly verified, documented, approved, and accurately processed.
  • The role also supports procurement, inventory administration, payroll input preparation, and general depot administration to ensure smooth and efficient depot operations.

The Job 

  • Review and verify vendor invoices, ensuring all supporting documents are complete and accurate before processing.
  • Process payments for vendors, suppliers, transporters, and casual workers in line with approved procedures and timelines.
  • Perform three-way matching of Purchase Orders, waybills, and invoices to ensure payment accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of invoices, payment documents, and other finance-related records.
  • Administer petty cash transactions and ensure timely reimbursement in accordance with company policy.
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Store Requisition Vouchers (SRVs) and follow up on the timely delivery of requested items.
  • Participate in monthly stock count exercises and ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare payroll input data, including attendance, overtime, and headcount information, to support accurate salary processing.

Qualification

  • Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any Social Science-related discipline.

​Experience:

  • Minimum of two years cognate experience in accounting, finance, administration, or related functions.

The Person Must​:

  • Possess strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and sound judgment in handling financial transactions.
  • Have good record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
