Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Identify and work with learners with special educational needs.
- Provide academic and behavioural support to learners identified to require additional support including reinforcing core academic subjects.
- Collaborate/Liaise with teachers, parents, agencies, and a range of other professionals, such as behaviour technicians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
- Plan and schedule periodic meetings with relevant stakeholders to review support for SEND learners.
- Monitor learners' progress and provide relevant documentation such as IEP, Progress Reports, Intervention trackers, etc.
- Provide a safe and healthy environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- BEd. in Special Education; MSc is a plus
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
- Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- Ability to create IEPs
- A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid state special education certificate.
