Job Title: Assistant Processing Manager

Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Sub-Function: Plant Operations

Job Description

  • An Assistant Processing Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for managing an efficient and safe processing site that produces finished products meeting customer requirements at optimal cost and maximum financial benefit.
  • The role focuses on driving operational efficiency, ensuring product quality and consistency, maintaining plant performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • The incumbent is also responsible for managing production teams, overseeing inventory, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, and collaborating across functions to deliver business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and consistency of finished products
  • Monitor and improve mill performance
  • Drive continuous operational improvement initiatives
  • Manage raw materials, intermediate, and finished goods inventory effectively
  • Control costs, including labour, energy, and maintenance
  • Maintain site hygiene and overall site condition
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the production team.

Job Requirements

  • B.Tech / B.E. from a reputed institute
  • 5–6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in handling multiple milling lines
  • Experience in managing production operations within a structured industrial environment
  • Strong exposure to cost control, plant operations, and process optimization

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Good understanding of production processes and plant operations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
