Honda Manufacturing (Nig.) Limited ("HMN"), founded in 1979, is a leading participant in Nigeria's power products sector and a division of Honda Motor Co., Japan. HMN manufactures and distributes a wide range of motorbikes, portable generators, water pumps, and general-purpose engines from its cutting-edge production facility at KM 6 on the Ota-Idiroko Road in Ota, Ogun State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Factory Technician (Motorcycle Assembly)

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Role summary

• This position is designed for a junior-level technician who will take on supervisory duties, leading a team of technicians while supporting the Foreman in delivering high-quality motorcycle assembly and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of technicians on the production line
• Support the Foreman in executing daily manufacturing plans and targets
• Oversee motorcycle assembly processes (engine fitting, wiring, frame assembly, quality checks, etc.)
• Ensure all production activities comply with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Detect and troubleshoot mechanical or production issues promptly
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to team members
• Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment
• Maintain accurate production and performance records
• Promote workplace safety, discipline, and teamwork
• Report any defect or trouble promptly to the supervisor.
• Communicate effectively by sharing daily production report and situation report to the Supervisor.

Requirements

• OND / NCE / Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (motorcycle or automotive experience is an advantage)
• Demonstrated leadership ability or experience leading a small team
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and assembly processes
• Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in manufacturing
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow production specifications
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• The applicant must be residing in Ogun / Lagos State.
