Job Title: Internal Countrol Accountant

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We’re hiring a detail-oriented, systems-focused Lead Accountant to manage our financial health, controls, and growth across all GMYT entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Progression: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements, cash flow, P&L, and management reports. Drive financial planning for growth.
• Budgeting & Authorization: Develop annual budgets for Group + subsidiaries. Review, authorize, and control all expenditures in line with policy.
• Inventory & Store Accounting: Oversee stock valuation, costing, reconciliations, and cycle counts for retail/store operations. Ensure zero leakage.
• Controls & Compliance: Enforce internal controls, approval matrices, and audit readiness. Ensure tax, pension, and statutory compliance.
• Process Improvement: Build financial systems, SOPs, and reporting dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility.

Requirements

• Education: BSc / HND qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA / ACCA / CPA is a strong advantage.
• Experience: 4–10 years progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a lead / supervisory role.
• Skills: Proven experience managing inventory/store accounting, budgeting, financial authorization, and driving financial progression in an SME/multi-entity setup. Advanced Excel + accounting software required.
• Traits: High integrity, analytical, deadline-driven, and able to challenge the status quo.
