Job Title: Professional Acquisition Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a driven and street-smart Professional Acquisition Officer to own the supply side of our marketplace.
  • You will be the engine behind finding, onboarding, verifying, and activating skilled professionals on the Find-Am platform.
  • This is a hands-on, target-driven role that is critical to our MVP success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard skilled professionals onto the Find-Am platform
  • Guide candidates through the full onboarding and verification process (NIN, phone, address, selfie/liveness, guarantor)
  • Ensure professionals complete the Find-Am competency exam and achieve Published status on the platform
  • Drive activation — ensure newly onboarded professionals complete their first job
  • Monitor and improve retention rates for active professionals in the two weeks post-onboarding
  • Document every stage of the onboarding journey for each professional — from initial contact through to activation — so that progress can be tracked, measured, and bottlenecks identified
  • Maintain accurate records of the acquisition pipeline, onboarding status, and outcome at each stage
  • Report weekly on acquisition numbers, activation rates, stage-by-stage conversion, and quality scores
  • Identify friction points in the onboarding process and escalate to the Operations Manager
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Customer Acquisition Officer to align supply with demand

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Professionals onboarded per week (all categories combined): 25+
  • Activation rate (first job completed): 50%+
  • Retention rate (active after 2 weeks): 60%+
  • Onboarding stage documentation: 100% of candidates tracked at every stage
  • Quality score (based on platform reviews): 4.0+ / 5.0

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in field sales, recruitment, community outreach, or business development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable approaching and persuading people
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality; able to work independently and hit targets
  • Strong documentation discipline — ability to record and track candidate journeys accurately
  • Familiarity with the Lagos professional/trades landscape is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes
  • Basic smartphone and app literacy — ability to use the Find-Am platform and reporting tools
  • Honest, reliable, and highly organised

Nice To Have:

  • Prior experience in a gig economy, marketplace, or logistics platform
  • Existing network of skilled professionals or tradespeople in Lagos
  • Experience with identity verification or KYC processes

Work Structure:

  • Field and remote work — significant time will be spent in the field recruiting professionals
  • 4 hours daily minimum commitment with flexibility based on targets
  • Weekly reporting required to management
