Dogan’s Sugar Limited is incorporated in July 2013 in Lagos, Nigeria as a European invested company for the will to produce quality sugar products in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and machinery to ensure efficient production operations.
• The role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, machines, and production lines.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Install, align, and test new machinery and mechanical components.
• Ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently during production.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance machine performance.
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and quality teams to resolve breakdowns quickly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and company policies.

Requirements

• OND / HND / BSc or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2 - 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food & beverage etc)
• Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
