Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- We areseeking a competent and detail-oriented Site Engineer with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in construction project execution.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Experience in high-rise building construction is highly desirable and will be given strong preference.*
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities on site
- Interpret and execute engineering drawings, designs, and specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular site reports
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout project execution
- Manage materials, labor, and equipment efficiently
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Site Engineer in construction projects
- Demonstrable experience working on high-rise building projects is most desirable*
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional certification (e.g., COREN membership) is an added advantage.
