Job Title: Android Developer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Description

• This is a contract, on-site Android Developer role based in Ikeja. The Android Developer will design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring responsiveness, performance, and usability across a range of devices.
• Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements, implement features, and integrate APIs and third-party services.
• The role involves writing clean, testable code in accordance with best practices, performing code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, and optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
• The Android Developer will also contribute to architectural decisions, stay current with Android platform updates and industry trends, and participate in continuous improvement of development processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience with a minimum of 4 years experience
• Strong proficiency in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-grade Mobile Applications.
• Hands-on experience with Android Development and Android Design, including UI/UX implementation following Material Design guidelines.
• Solid background in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency with Android SDK, Kotlin, RESTful APIs, and common libraries/frameworks (e.g., Jetpack components).
• Experience with testing and debugging tools, performance optimization, and publishing apps to the Google Play Store.
• Ability to work on-site in Ikeja, collaborate within cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices is an advantage.
• Banking or fintech experience is a must
